Why we started

The label isn’t for you. It’s for the sale.

Every time you went for grocery shopping at any supermarket, it was the same story. Pick up a pack, and there it was: “High Protein,” “No Added Sugar,” “Now With Real Fruit.” Bold words, printed bigger than anything else on the front of the pack, planted exactly where your eyes would land first.

It took us a while to notice the pattern. Line up two packets making the same claim, and what’s actually inside can be worlds apart: a “high protein” snack with barely more protein than a slice of bread, a “diet” drink with a quietly long list of things you can’t pronounce, and definitely can’t explain. The claim was doing the convincing. Not the food.

So we started reading the fine print: every ingredient, every additive, on every product that ends up in all of our carts, the same as yours. No brand pays us for a grade, and no claim gets taken at face value.

That’s the whole point: the next time you pick up a pack, you won’t have to guess. You’ll already know, backed by real standards, not just our word for it.

Why Gradefood

One grade. No marketing in between.

Gradefood scans past the front of the pack and reads what’s actually on the back — the ingredients, the additives, how processed it really is. Then it hands you one honest grade, A to E, before the product goes in your cart. No claims to untangle, no label to decode. Just a straight answer.
